While you are on the lemonade diet, you need to take a laxative every night. You can also drink some salted water whenever you take your laxative to help raise the laxative's potency and ability to cleanse your system. This forces your body to excrete and, when it doesn't have left over food to use (like it generally does when you eat normally) it will resort to pushing out all of the other things that have been building up in your system. Take actions against laxative activated dehydration by consuming plenty of pure water all day.

The safety and rewards of this diet are still being debated by professionals. You should never be on it for much more than two weeks at the same time. If you keep it going for more than that, it is feasible that you will do some significant damage to your system. Ask your doctor if the Master Cleanse can really benefit you or if there are way too many risks.
